Rhubarb Rouge – Emcee
rhubarb
The glamour of Audrey Hepburn, the talent of Madonna and the body of Roseanne – from the steamy shores of Brazil, Rhubarb Rouge is very excited to emcee yet again the OUT in the OPEN Festival Carnival Day!

shOUT Youth Chorus
shoutyc
shOUT (formerly the Melbourne Gay and Lesbian Youth Chorus) was founded in 2005, and is Australasia’s first gay and lesbian youth chorus. We explore great music through singing, and perform at various events around Melbourne and Victoria each year.

Rosie Burgess Trio
rosie
Sometimes it’s hard to fit people into boxes, and the music being produced by Rosie Burgess is no exception. Sliding from folk to blues to gypsy-roots and back, her music crosses more genres than state borders, giving off “more energy than an ille-gally sparked firecracker” [Drum Media, Sydney], whilst still maintaining it’s unmis-takable flavour. And cross borders she does. Having spent more than her fair share of time in airports and touring vans with her band, The Rosie Burgess Trio, she has crisscrossed the world, leaving behind a trail of lost sunglasses, broken flip-flops and adoring audiences. Hailing from Melbourne, the trio bring their unique brand of folkroots to centre stage in a collection of catchy harmonies and off-beat humour. Often times they are mistaken for brother and sisters, and whilst they’re regrettably not, there is no mistaking the joy they share on stage both together and with the audience. Rosie Burgess has had the pleasure of sharing the stage with some of the world’s finest artists, firmly securing a place for herself as a festival favourite, both in Aus-tralia and North America, at festivals such as California World Fest, Calgary Folk Festival, Woodford Folk Festival, Port Fairy Folk Festival, and more. Sharing her passion for the road and adventure, alongside her love of music, Burgess has won herself a veritable army of loyal fans across the globe. Now, with a fistful of new songs and accompanying video clips set for release in late 2016, Burgess is keen to get out of the studio and back on the road, and of course, onto the stage!

Tree Of Strings
tree
Tree of Strings are Des and Dani. They play acoustic sessions of musical favourites with a blues, jazz and soul influence. Rustically mellow tones from earthy blues to fresh jazzy rhythms.

Jeffry’s Cabbage
jeffry
Jeffry’s Cabbage is a Melbourne three piece band of blokes who play some silky jams. The seriousness of these fellows is incomprehensible and is utilised to mould their musical style. A style which follows closely to a modern bluegrass or folk sound.

Jessica Lorraine
jess
Jessica Lorraine is a self taught musician from Nathalia who has been playing guitar for 5 years and loves to write, arrange, and perform with her loop pedal. Jessica has ambition towards a professional career in musical production and per-formance and will have her first EP out in the very near future. Jess is inspired by many contemporary artists, particularly loop pedal mistros, Ed Sheeran and Kimbra. Today Jess will be performing a mix of original and cover songs, created with vocal and guitar loop pedal backing arrangements, all produced live on stage.

Tyler De Jong Trio

tyler
The Tyler De Jong Trio began with a Facebook Message the night before a solo gig that read – “Hey guys, wanna come play a show tomorrow?”, and after a short ex-change of songs they mutually knew, the TDJ Trio was born. The group have now begun work on their debut album of original material, due for release early 2017.

Past Present
pastpresent
Known as the Shepparton based punk rockers to put the devil to sleep and get Grandma dancing, Past Present are a 3 piece group that formed in Shepparton in 2011. Playing shows around Australia in Melbourne, Sydney, Canberra, Wollongong, and many Victorian regional towns, and scoring shows with the likes of Poison City Records signed punk rockers Clowns, Clint Boge from The Butterfly Effect, ARIA nominated rockers Born Lion and Australia’s Got Talent finalists Sisters Doll, Past Present are a frequently progressing band. Their new album is set for release in early 2017, already spanning 2 singles released through iTunes, Spotify and Bandcamp earlier this year and receiving rotation on regional community radio. They’re back for their first hometown show in over 11 months to perform a series of originals and covers, please make Past Present welcome to the stage!

The Delirious

delirious
The Delirious are a 4 piece originals rock band that formed in December last year with Initial members Isaiah Mustica, Sean Browning and Liam Wyatt-Cartrer. Earlier this year the trio recruited a new member Alex Gardner, the now 4 piece rock group continue with practices learning covers and writing originals. The group’s debut single “Bean There” climbed up to number 21 on triple J’s un-earthed charts upon its release, and are now looking to record some of there other tracks for an EP release later in the year.
