The Ride To Pride

AUSTRALIA’S FIRST EVER LGBTI TRAIN

Be part of History on board Australia’s first ever LGBTI Train departing Melbourne on the morning of Saturday 15th November.

Our private Heritage Train will hit the tracks powering towards the Goulburn Valley Pride festival, OUTintheOPEN.

Leaving Southern Cross Station at 7.30am (we know its early) we celebrate our achievement of being Australia’s First Exclusive LGBTI Train with a Champaign breakfast as the suburbs of Melbourne flash by. Enjoy the DJ in the Dance club or a quiet chat in Club Lounge 708.
The food will flow and a party atmosphere will fill the carriages. As the Rainbow Flags flutter on the Locomotives and carriages, listen out for the whistle as the drivers announce our arrival in each town as we slow down to make our presence known.
Grab a seat by a window and wave to our LGBTI Country Family as they come out to support our journey.

Shepparton Station will be adorned with Pride Flags as our massive train pulls into town, we are here, let the party begin. We are honoured to support the Goulburn Valley Pride Festival as we unite for the short walk to the Festival. Interact with our Rural LGBTI Family; enjoy the endless entertainment and food from some of Victoria’s finest establishments.

Meanwhile back at the train, our gorgeous volunteer staff will restock and prepared our ‘city on wheels’ for the evening ahead. The train will be parked only a couple of blocks from the festivities for the duration of the Pride Festival and be accessible to all guests 24/7. LGBTI friendly security guards will be present for the duration of our stay in Shepparton, for the safety and security of guests and their belongings.

Return to the train at your leisure, enjoy the on board facilities of Bar Lounge 708 (The drinks are really reasonably priced), Club Car Moorabool (Awesome Free Real Coffee) and prepare for the night ahead.

At 6pm, we welcome you to join us “The Crew” as we celebrate with you our guests over fabulous hors d’oeuvres and a glass of wine.
The evening is free, enjoy the sights and sounds of Shepparton City OR stay on-board, sit back and relax.

At 8PM The On Train Party Begins with our fabulous DJ’S take over Party Car Hobsons Bay as we dance the night away until the early hours of Sunday morning.

Sunday morning we wake to the smell of warm pastries filling the train, our crew will be busy preparing a BBQ breakfast. If you feel like a lighter option, a self-serve continental breakfast will be available.

Take a stroll or just relax the morning away, we are in no hurry. The Ride To Pride will depart Shepparton at 1pm with a grand farewell in true Rainbow Style.

As we meander along through the rural countryside, we make a MYSTERY stop in a secret location for afternoon tea. If you choose you may remain on the train and party as our DJ’s really turns up the heat. Watch the sun set as the lights of Melbourne come into view.

The train will return to Southern Cross Station, arriving at 7.30pm Sun 16Nov14, allowing guests to connect with local trains.

All tickets include return train journey, D.J. (dance car), tea and coffee and scrumptious finger food.
