DESCRIPTION:OUTintheOPEN is Greater Shepparton’s Festival celebrating LGBTIQA+ pride and community diversity. Join us in 2026 and celebrate all things “homegrown and glowing”!\nCarnival Day is our BIG event – a FREE celebration for the whole family in the heart of Shepparton. Carnival Day brings together live music\, wonderful entertainment\, market stalls\, pride merchandise to grab\, information and services\, food trucks and so much more. Bring along the whole family\, furry friends welcome too and enjoy this annual celebration of queer joy. Relax the day away enjoy the tunes under the shady trees of Queens Gardens\, participate in activities for all ages.\nLGBTIQA+ community\, allies\, friends\, and families are all welcome to attend and enjoy the event with us.\nHere’s the details: 10.00am – 3.00pm Saturday 7th November 2026 Queens Gardens\, Shepparton (cnr. Wyndham & Nixon Streets) All welcome Furry friends welcome – leads required! (Applications for the dog show opening soon!)\nCheck out our stallholders attending here (TBC): https://gvpride.org/stallholders/\n\nAccessibility and further details:\n• The venue of Queens Gardens has sealed paths surrounding three sides and through the space. The remainder of the surfaces are grass. Marquees surround the outside of the gardens but will not be on paths. There will not be sealed path access to all stall holders.\n• Onsite there is an all accessible\, all gender bathroom. In addition\, there are two other all gender bathrooms. At the event there may also be two portaloos that require a person to step up to use them.\n• There is lots of traffic moving along two of the streets the garden sits between\, and the space is not fenced. There will be lots of people\, some animals on leads\, or restrained\, and live music on stage between the hours of the event. The Gardens is a vast space and there are spaces that offer less noise onsite.\n• There are some tables and chairs provided near the food trucks. We suggest bringing a picnic rug to sit on and enjoy the day.\n• There will be an information tent on-site with volunteers always present for support or questions. Volunteers will also be in other locations within the Queens Gardens. All volunteers will have an OUTintheOPEN barnded t-shirt and a rainbow lanyard on them.\n• There will be local LLO (LGBTIQA+ liaison Officer’s) Victoria Police staff on site at this event to support our LGBTIQA+ community.\n• Animals on leads or restrained are welcome at this event. DESCRIPTION:Join GV Pride for a special Out in the Open Day OUT as we travel together to experience Castlemaine Pride\, one of regional Victoria’s best-known LGBTQIA+ community celebrations. Castlemaine Pride began as a community picnic in 2018 and has grown into a year-round program celebrating queer culture\, creativity and community on Djaara Country. \nThis community bus trip is all about bringing Pride communities together\, creating connections between regional LGBTQIA+ groups\, and sharing in the vibrant celebrations that make regional Victoria such a welcoming place to live and visit. \nOur journey begins in Shepparton with pickups in Mooroopna\, Stanhope and Elmore before stopping at the famous Elmore Bakery for a coffee break. These bathrooms have binary gender toilets labelled; female and male\, a parent’s room\, and an all gender/accessible bathroom.\nGV Pride & Out in the Open festival volunteers will be there as a point of contact and community support through conversations.\nThe event will include casual conversations and networking.
