AIDS Awareness Week & World AIDS Day 1 Dec 2023

World AIDS Day is held on 1 December each year. It raises awareness across the world and in the community about HIV and AIDS. It is a day for the community to show their support for people living with HIV and to commemorate people who have died of AIDS related conditions or other conditions associated with HIV.

During AIDS Awareness Week (the last week of November) we are a local distribution point for red ribbons and other AIDS Awareness Week merchandise. Please get in touch if you’d like some red ribbons and resources for your colleagues, school, workplace, organisation or ‘red’ morning tea via gvpride@gvpride.org
