Congratulations to Georgina (she/her) our Vice President on winning the Pride in Health + Wellbeing LGBTQ Out Role Model of the year Award!
This Award is for an “out” LGBTQ individual who has actively advocated for and promoted an outstanding contribution to LGBTQ inclusion. In her Diversity Project role at Uniting Vic.Tas she works with schools, health and local government youth services to educate, build awareness and bridge barriers to accessing crucial services and support for LGBTQIA+ youth in the north-east region.
Georgina also leads the group’s participation at the Chill Out Festival Street Parade in Daylesford and other LGBTIQA+ youth events across the region – often accompanying a bus load of young people whose ‘queer joy’ at participating in their first pride march is a delight for the whole of our team.
