The Australian GLBTIQ Multicultural Council (AGMC) are a national peak organisation that advocates for multicultural and multifaith LGBTIQ people and communities. AGMC aim to improve health and wellbeing of multicultural and multifaith LGBTIQ individuals by providing opportunities for social connectedness via culturally sensitive and inclusive events.
The Victorian Government have provided funding for AGMC to host 4 United We Feast events in the areas of Bendigo, Dandenong, Shepparton and Werribee in celebration of cultural diversity and as a platform to showcase existing LGBTIQ services. United We Feast are community dinners with a social inclusion focus incorporating food and fun as AGMC understand the importance of sharing meals and entertainment to social inclusion for multicultural communities.
AGMC believes that celebration of our sex and gender diverse, multicultural and multifaith identities can greatly improve our health and wellbeing while continuously challenging the persistence of stigma.
